“The authors missed a great opportunity to title this paper, Inside You Are Two Wolves: Chaotic Attention and Hyperfocus”

They really did. My first thought too!

Great idea for a segment, a fulfilling knowledge snack.

Thanks very much for the link to the Toombs article. Having an invisible condition I find it hard to explain how this affects so much more than just physical symptoms. Even to myself, let alone to others. I love reading material that makes sense of my own messy thoughts.

Yes! My little sister has been struggling with an amorphous chronic illness for over a year and as I read this paper, I thought how well it framed and put into words the felt experience she has shared with me and struggles to make sense of. So many sentences resonated with me as a clinician in a healing profession as well, in the ways I see my role with those I come alongside.

Are the bullet points the new format? I only noticed them half way through!?!! I think that means they're working lol. A really natural format for this kind of information.

Nice read - now I feel updated on all things ADHD and chronic illness:) According to the model, the goal would be to stay in the middle of these two dynamic states, no? I like that experts are moving away from models which imply structural brain deficits - it helps us come to terms with the fact that medication isn’t necessary. Today I will enjoy my venturesomeness as I walk through my life unmedicated and free!
