would you ever be willing to share some of your process for writing with so many disparate elements? i'm always having 8302983984230 tabs open and wishing the knowledge i take in could amount to anything, but alas - organization. totally understood, though, if your process(TM) is proprietary <3 thank you for always writing such incredible, relevant work
Thank you for listening to the words and the way they are desiring to be weaved. You and the words and all these piles are helping me reframe, relearn/unlearn, and try new (or maybe just forgotten/lost) ways of being. I am eternally grateful to be a slug
“But instead of staring up at the wall and feeling like a failure, I thought: maybe these words just don’t want to be a research paper.”
I really feel that right now with different things I’m exploring in art & writing. Thank you for this series of writings, it feels awesome reading through the tangents!
Very excited about this direction, great questionsssss... inspired by your willingness to connect stray thoughts and interests. I'm always thinking about your essays for days after reading.
ECOLOGICAL! Wow yes my mind is blown right now. Can't wait for more on this when it comes. Also the [Finish Reading] article callout was healing - it's not just me who does this!
This is really great and I'm looking forward to whatever you share on the topic/the series. I am always so happy I'm subscribed to this!! I'm grateful for the ways your writing is thought provoking and so helpfully researched. So many "whoa brand new thought" moments and those are precious to me!! Thank you for writing. I'm glad you decided to be kind to yourself and go with how this work wanted to actually enter the world.
The naivete in defining ''real composting'' within a modern procedure through a rigid lense is almost campy and had me facepalming.
I compost in a similar manner as you, layering, leaving it. I got a really cool book that has a bunch of charts with how long different parasites, bacterias, worms, etc live, how long things take to break down without being messed with. I live off grid in the woods so I've got multiple pits and piles about I've been slowly experimenting with.
Humans are not evolutions final form. Existence isn't Pokemon lol fucking enlightenment addled Western exceptionalist Imperial fucking arrogance. They were delusionally convinced alchemy was the future while the witches they burned laid the foundation for, and sparked the inspiration of the seeds of scientific innovation and rational logical genius man reasoning that so much colonial mytholoy hinges it's apologetics on.
Your writing is an emotionally immersive and deeply moving sensory experience I am lucky to have tuned into and connected with 🐌🩶🤘
Oh I am feeling things with this one. It twists around so many of the things that I've struggled with (aspiring novelist, grad school burnout, something something whatever) but doesn't minimize them. I admit I am a little prickly at the thought of "maybe this isn't meant to be a book" (Is my pile of worldbuilding not meant to be a book??) but also really intrigued by the invitation that things might not always be what we expect, and that's fine actually. I am very grateful for your decision to explore a blog because while I might not have found my way to a book, or finished it, I did find my way here and have learned a lot from it. I'm looking forward to this new series! Thank you for your work.

haha nothing proprietary here, it is pretty chaotic tbh but I can definitely write something about it!
that would be amazing -- tysm

Thank you for giving me new tools to understand myself and the world around me a little better!
